I work for a major ISP in Canada providing corporate technical support. Your assertions that your internet is ok and there for it is CCP's problem are incorrect. It think this is partialy due to your understanding of how internet works
If you would be willing to provide traceroutes from your computer to CCP, and let say WOW as you mentioned that it works fine. I would be more than willing to help diagnose and explain the problem.
By all means feel free to contact me at [email protected] if you need assistance on how to accomplish this.
In a basic analagie (which I hope you may understand) to alleviate your frustration.
1. You get in your car - it works fine <this represents your internet connection to your ISP> 2. Your start to drive to CCP head office <This represents your information travelling over the internet> 3. You hit a Traffic Jam at King & Main st., <this represents network issues between CCP & your ISP> 4. You head back to your house, then head to WOW's head office. <This represents your information travelling over the internet> 5. You take different roads as their office is not anywhere near CCP's < this represents your information taking a different route on the internet> 6. You get there successfully, no delays. <This means there are no network problems between you and Blizzard> 7. You blame CCP for the accident on the road that is preventing you from reaching them. <this represents your post in this thread>
As many people have pointed out, this type of situation is beyond CCP's control. They didn't cause it. And really have no responsability to fix or repair another company's network issue.
It is not fair, or correct of us to Rant at them. Hopefully those of you that do read this, may be able to understand what is happening.
What they seem to be doing to 'Help' fix (in the same context as above.)
8. Since traffic can't reach them, they are sending people out from their office to redirect trafic to an alternate route, and they are laying a new road for the trafic to get to them.
We should be relieved that they are taking steps to try and help fix this issue

What a joke,
What are you paid by CCP.
I am going to make this so simple even a CCP employee will be able to figure it out....
If my poker site connection works, then the internet is ok.... If my telephone works because it is connected to my cable modem, then guess what, my internet works...
Or maybe, it has all been a dream, all those phone calls yesterday, my doctors appointment, my wife, my mother, were all ghosts, they never called... I imagined the whole thing... I never played internet poker yesterday either, just thought I had...
You people are supposed to be Icelanders... You should not be afraid to do a bit of work and you should have the honor to address problems that you have... There is no honor in blaming other people for your problems.
So ever lovin sad.
BrotherGrim
Lets see how many times I get disconnected today.
*Note - Please keep in mind people that traceroutes are not always accurate. It all depends what priority ICMP packets are given each time it hits a router. Pings/traces are usually a good indicator but it not always accurate.
